Eagle Harbor, a Federal Government Contractor industry leader, is seeking a Jr. Technical Writer to provide writing, editing, and analytical services for out customer in Washington, DC.
Responsibilities:
Write, edit, and finalize documents in support of federal regulatory actions, for viewing by senior Government leaders and the public.
Coordinate with rulemaking teams, draft and edit documents, primarily for Federal Register rulemaking publications, in accordance with the Federal Register Document Drafting Handbook.
Draft and edit other documents, including reports, articles, briefing papers, in-house studies, congressional reports and memoranda, concept papers, and work plans.
Prepare draft documents in line with the GPO Style Manual, Strunk and White Elements of Style, and Federal plain language guidelines.
Coordinate closely with Economists, Environmental Analysts and Project Counsels to draft documents for regulatory actions.
Requirements:
Bachelor's degree in English, Political Science, Public Administration, or related field.
Minimum of 1 year of direct technical writing experience for Federal programs.
Demonstrable record of working on project teams while working on multiple projects (experience with regulatory requirements is preferred).
Strong command of the English language, with a proven track record of producing professional, clear documentation throughout a complete project cycle.
Expert-level skills with Microsoft Word; strong proficiency with Excel and PowerPoint.
Strong proficiency with Adobe Acrobat.
Must have or be able to obtain (and maintain) a government clearance.
Experience with Federal regulatory development/rulemaking is a plus.
