The Trash Removal Coordinator is an FLSA non-exempt position under the general supervision of
the Director of Parks and Recreation. The Trash Removal Coordinator is responsible for organizing
and administering the City’s Team Up for Clean Up Program. This position will collect solid waste
and trash throughout the community, including planning, implementation, monitoring budget,
procurement, coordination, inspecting, identifying cleanup locations, promoting program, and data
collection and monitoring the community that is required to achieve program goals and objectives.
The position will be required to comply with City, County, State, and Federal policies, rules, and
regulations. The Trash Removal Coordinator will perform routine inspections, organize
maintenance, and repair work on vehicles and equipment. The incumbent in this position directly
leads and supervises a staff of full-time and temporary employees and will work directly with
volunteers and outside citizens and partners. Performance of this work requires the use of
considerable independent judgement, initiative, and tact in dealing with individuals, contractors,
and other outside agencies and organizations. This position is part of an ARPA funded project with
funding guaranteed at least though 2023.
