Job Description:
The Residential Electrician is an integral member of the Residential Installation Division. Under general supervision, the Residential Electrician is responsible for installing and servicing solar photovoltaic (PV) systems, including but not limited to troubleshooting and service repairs, new service panels and circuits, service panel testing and services, switch gear replacement and upgrades, tenant space additions and remodels, underground tracing, thermal testing and report services, vandal and theft repairs. This position is responsible for maintaining and providing safe conditions and operations of all electrical fixtures and systems. This position may work independently or as a team member.

We are looking in Multiple Locations: Worcester, Taunton, Springfield, New Bedford, Lowell, Douglas, Brockton, and Boston areas

Responsibilities:
• Read and understand Plan Sets, procuring BOS, installed requested scope detailed by Lead Residential Electrician
• Hang equipment, disconnects, J-boxes, combiners, load centers, MSP, and sub panels
• Determine wiring layouts, conductor sizing, and breaker ratings
• Run external and internal conduit and communication circuits from router to equipment
• Apply solar identification placards
• Plan layout and installation of electrical wiring, equipment, or fixtures, based on job specifications and local codes.
• Repair stucco, concrete, walk ways, fencing, and other obstructions/materials removed to complete electrical work
• Connect wires to circuit breakers, transformers, or other components
• Inspecting systems, equipment, or components to identify hazards, defects, or the need for adjustment or repair, and to ensure compliance with codes.
• Installing wiring and conduit such as: EMT, O-CAL, Rigid conduit, MC cable, strut, cable trays etc.
• Strong Working Knowledge of job site safety, OSHA regulations, and NEC Code 690
• Knowledge in conduit bending, wire pulling, and terminating electrical panel.

Skills, Education, and Training:
• Journeyman Electrician License in Massachusetts - Required
• Minimum 4 year’s residential electrical experience
• 2 plus years in solar industry
• Driver's License – Required
• Energy Storage
• MSP Upgrade Experience
• Stucco Experience Preferred
• Electrical Troubleshooting and Pipe bending experience required
• Cal Osha 30
• Good customer interface skills/personality
• Comfortable doing electrical on a roof, attic, and basements
• Experience mounting equipment and conduit in an aesthetically pleasing, local jurisdiction, and NEC code compliant manner
• Ability to bend pipe in a fast and professional manor, read electrical line diagrams and install a system per plan
• Electrician certification or proof of enrollment in an education program
• Understanding of electrical codes
• Crew lead experience a plus
• Must be able to learn the solar application quickly and be able to install both the DC and AC portions of a solar electric system
• NABCEP certification is a plus
• Tesla Powerwall Electrical Installs
• Natural Gas/ Propane generator a plus
• Transfer Switches
• Extending circuits
• Adding circuits
• Sub panels
• Panel Upgrades
• Extensive knowledge of wire size calculations
• Extensive knowledge of wiring methods
• Low Voltage experience a plus
• AC (single phase 240) Troubleshooting
• Working knowledge of NEC 690
• Experiencing working with hand tools, power tools and electronic test equipment.
• Must be able to work in the outdoor environmental elements, overhead, navigate up and down ladders and able to lift 50+ pounds
• Experiencing working with hand tools, power tools and electronic test equipment.
• Ability to Travel
